Abstract

anions with N-(diethoxyphosphory1) imidazolium ion (kJ in aqueous solution at 25" C; they obey the following linear Brcansted equations: log kl=-1.02 pKm~+ 1.83 (n= 6, r= 0.989); log kl= 0.85 pKMH-0.48 (n= 10, r= 0.957). The value of (Ieq (1.87) obtained from (Ik and (I, supports a previously determined value (1.83) for the transfer of the neutral phosphoryl group [(HO), PO] from phenolate ion nucleophiles.
