Abstract

Results Laser Flash Photolysis. Our experiments were carried out under oxygen-free conditions using the pulses from a nitrogen laser (337.1 nm, 8 ns, up to 10 mJ) for excitation. Biradical absorptions (Scheme I) were monitored at 415 nm. 21 The biradical lifetime, TB, is 97 ns in methanol and shorter in the other solvents e~ amined.~,~~ The concen-
