Abstract
Dur ing the last years, 1,4-benzodioxins and 1,4- benzodioxanes have at tracted con sid er able in ter est, mainly due to their very in ter est ing bi o log i cal ac tiv i ties. Some of them act as - or -block ing re agents and could be used in antidepression or antihypertension ther apy.1 Oth ers ex hibit antihyperglycemic prop er ties,2 or could act as in hib i tors of 5-lipoxygenase.3 More over, these com pounds could also be used for use ful syn thetic trasformations.4 ( )- ...
