Abstract

(10) The base-solvent system was first used for the chemiluminescence of luminol (EH White, J. Chem. Educ., 34,275 (1957)). and applied to luciferin by HH Seliger and WD McElroy, Science, 138, 683 (1962).(1 1) The low-intensity greenish emission reported in addition to the red emission (ref 2 of ref 10) is most likely the weak chemiluminescence of unreacted luciferin in previous LHzAMP preparations.
