Abstract
The reaction of B-allyl derivatives of 9-borabicyclo [3.3. 1] nonane with representative organic compounds con-taining carbonyl groups occurs cleanly in the common organometallic manner with the allyl undergoing transfer to the carbonyl carhon and the boron moiety to the carbonyl oxygen. This process evidently proceeds with total rearrangement of the allyl moiety; thus, the B-crotyl derivative yields a-methallyl products ...
