Abstract

During the course of attempts to synthesize compounds potentially capable of intramolecular charge-transfer interaction, an easy and relatively simple procedure for the preparation of 3, 3-dimethoxycyclopropene (IV) was developed. The starting material for this synthesis is the commercially available 2, 3-dichloropropene (I).
