Abstract

Abstract On the basis of trans-2-hexene-1, 6-diol and trans-2-octenol, both obtained by trans reduction of their acetylenic precursors with sodium in liquid ammonia, trans-5-eicosene-8, 1 1, 14-triynoic acid and trans-14-eicosene-5, 8, 11-triynoic acid were built up by classical methods.
