Abstract

Abstract Reaction of π-allyldicyclopentadienyititanium (III) complexes, preformed or formed in situ, with aldehydes or ketones proceeds with regiospecificity, high stereoselectivity and chemospecificity, affording, under mild conditions, the corresponding homoallyl alcohols after hydrolysis in excellent yields.
