Abstract

Both 2H-chromen-2-ones (coumarins) and 4H-chromen-4-ones (flavones) 1 are of paramount importance because of their bioactivities in nature. 2 Coumarins are widely used in the pharmaceutical company as precursors in the synthesis of a variety of anticoagulant pharmaceuticals and some even more efficient rodenticides that work by the same anticoagulant mechanism.
