Abstract
Rare examples of Cu (II) hydroxide complexes of N-heterocyclic carbenes have been prepared via simple reactions of the silver (I)− NHC complex or imidazolium salts with copper powder. The copper complex exhibits excellent catalytic activity for N-arylation of azoles with arylboronic acids at room temperature.
