Abstract

Preparation of fatty acid cholesterol ester hydroperoxides was undertaken with the purpose of evaluating their biological effects on cell growth. Cholesterol stearate, oleate, linoleate and α-linolenate were oxidized using methylene blue as a photosensitizer.
