Abstract
-CH& according to the reaction RCHOHCOR RCHzCOR. Recently, however, the reduction of two unsymmetrical benzoins has been de~ cribed~"!~ and in each case two isomeric ketones were obtained. Since these benzoins are known to be definite compound^,^^'^ the presence of isomeric desoxy derivatives cannot be accounted for on the usual assumptiom3
