Abstract
The RuNiCo tri‐metallic nanocatalyst of Ru islands‐on‐nickel‐cobalt/nickel hydroxide‐cobalt hydroxide nanoparticles (Ru/NiCo/Ni(OH)2‐Co(OH)2/C) was prepared at room temperature (RT) via hydrazine hydrate reduction and galvanic replacement methods. And Ru/NiCo/Ni(OH)2‐Co(OH)2/C exhibited much higher catalytic activity in the model reaction of toluene hydrogenation than Ru/Ni/Ni(OH)2/C and Ru/Co/Co(OH)2/C due to synergistic effect of Ru, Ni and Co related species, with good stability.
