Abstract

Abstract The interaction of one equivalent of NaBHT (BHT-H= butylated hydroxytoluene) with Me 3 SiCl, Me 2 SiCl 2 and SiCl 4 gives Me 3 Si (BHT)(1), Me 2 SiCl (BHT)(2) and Cl 3 Si (BHT)(3), respectively, which have been characterized by 1 H NMR, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
