Abstract

Herein, a unique nanostructure of TiO2@SnO2@3DC composite composed of three-dimensionally tussocky carbon coating porous TiO2/SnO2 quasi-nanospheres has been fabricated by a well-engineered strategy based on improvement of SnO2-based material lithium storage via constructing reasonable synergistic effect of structures and components. Thus feasible synergistic effect of TiO2/SnO2 quasi-nanospheres and tussocky carbon coating provides a robust guarantee for structural stability and electrochemical properties of TiO2@SnO2@3DC composite, resulting in improved electrochemical lithium storage performance. Moreover, this work may pave the way to fabricate non-smooth three-dimensional carbon coating for versatile SnO2/C-based composites.
