Abstract

Compounds in which a carbon-hydrogen bond is adjacent to several carbon-metal bonds promise to be particularly good donors of hydrogen. The synthesis, structure, and redox reactions of one member of this group of compounds, tris [(triphenylstannyl) methyl] methane (2), are reported.
