Abstract
Abstract The ir and Raman spectra of 1, 2-dimethyldisilane and its Si-perdeuterated species have been measured for the liquid and solid states. Existence of rotational isomers about the Si Si bond was shown on the basis of the spectral examination and the normal coordinate treatment. The fundamental vibrations were assigned for the two possible rotational isomers.
