Abstract

Reaction of aliphatic olefins with synthesis gas and hydrazines in the presence of rhodium phosphine catalysts leads directly to the corresponding hydrazones. Applying Iphos as ligand good to excellent yields and high chemo-and regioselectivities were obtained in toluene under mild conditions.
