Abstract
The complex Co (NO)(CO),(PPh,) is an air stable, easily handled crystalline solid, prepared from CO~(CO)~, sodium nitrite, and triphenylphosphine without isolation of the volatile intermediate CO (NO)(CO)~ Treatment of this complex with organolithium reagents at-40 “C generated unstable acylate complexes [RCOCo (NO)-(CO)(PPh,)]-which readily transferred the acyl group to allylic halides to produce 0, y-unsaturated ketones, to conjugated ...
