Abstract

Arylsilanes, alkenylsilanes, allylic silanes, and alkylsilanes were found to undergo extremely facile and rapid C–Si bond cleavage in supercritical water. Rapid C–Si bond cleavage occurred even with robust unactivated tetraalkylsilanes.
