Abstract

4-phenyl-3-piperidino-l-cyclohexene, was also found. A mixture of about equal amounts, 13% total, of two phenylcyclohexadienes was isolated as well as 2% of 1, 4-diphenyl-1, 3- cyclohexadiene. The UV spectra of the phenylcyclohexadienes isolated by preparative GLC indicate that the products were the l-phenyl-1, 3-cyclohexadiene and 3-phenyl-1, 4- cyclohexadiene.
