Abstract
Abstract The interaction of sulfur and ammonia with propiophenone, n-butyrophenone and i- butyrophenone leads to the corresponding thiazolines-(3). On acid hydrolysis of the latter α- mercaptopropiophenone, α-mercapto-n-butyrophenone and α-mercapto-i-butyrophenone respectively are formed.
