Abstract
To an ice-cooled solution of 0.70 g (11.3 mmol) of dimethyl sulfide and 1.95 g (10.0 mmol) of silver tetrafluoroborate in 30 mL of acetonitrile was added a solution of phenylselenenyl bromide which had been prepared in situ from 1.56 g (5.0" 01) of diphenyl dieelenide and 0.80 g (5.0" 01) of bromine in 20 mL of methylene chloride.
