Abstract

Abstract Commercial, inexpensive 5-mm milliwatt light-emitting diodes are effective sources for batch microphotochemical oxidations. Using limited quantities of singlet oxygen, these oxidations are atom economical and therefore useful for labeling experiments with rare isotopes.
