Abstract
Abstract Alkoxyvinylketenes4are generated by flash vacuum thermolysis (FVT) or photolysis of 3-alkoxycyclobutenones3. The thermal interconversion of4and allene carboxylic acid esters5under FVT conditions is demonstrated by Ar matrix FTIR spectroscopy.
