Abstract

Nitroso olefins in which the nitroso substituent is attached to a sp2 carbon are nor well known3 although perfluoronitrosoethylene has been reported from the reaction between trifluoroiodoethylene and nitric oxide. 4 Cleavage reactions with 3-substituted-isoxazolin-5- ones and hydrazine have been studied by Mustafa5 and co-workers but a good leaving group at the 4-position of the isoxazolone ring was not present.
