Abstract

The fluorinated olefins tetrafluoroethylcne, trifluorochloroethylene and l, l-difluoro-2, 2- dichloroethylene react with nitric oxide in the presence of anhydrous ferric chloride to give good yields of the nitrosoethanes C1CF2CF, K0, C1CF2CFClN0, and CICF2CC12N0, respectively.
