Abstract

Summary Like the amino groups in the amino azo dyes derived from 5-amino- dihytlroquinine and 3-amino-B-metho: uyquinoline, those in the 5, 8-diamino-coinpounds obtained from the dye:; by reduction are easily replaceable by hydroxyl. X number of the int'ermediatc and end products of this transformation are described.
