Abstract
Summary: Treatment of benzyl halides and related electrophiles containing alkene and alkyne groups with a catalytic amount of Pd complexes, such as Pd (PPh,),, provides the corresponding cyclization products containing five-through seven-membered rings often with retention of the alkene regiochemistry.
