Abstract

The macrocyclic diamides 11–21, 42 and 43 were prepared by nucleophilic reaction of the bis phenols 22–29 with the appropriate dihalo compounds 2, 3, 40 and 41, respectively. The macrocyclic dithiodiamides 30–33 were obtained in good yields upon treatment of 11, 13, 15 and 17 with Lawesson's reagent.
