Abstract

Abstract Pyochelin is a siderophore common to all strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa utilized by this Gram-negative bacterium to acquire iron (III). FptA is the outer membrane transporter responsible of ferric-pyochelin uptake in P. aeruginosa.
