Abstract
Summary: Tri-n-butylarsine-catalyzed olefination was achieved by the reaction of various aldehydes with methyl bromoacetate (or w-bromoacetophenone) in the presence of triphenyl phosphite and potassium carbonate at room temperature in good yields with high E stereoselectivity.
