Abstract: Tris (organosily1) hydroxylamines undergo a general, intramolecular rearrangement at temperatures of 180 OC and above to give silylaminosiloxanes with high product selectivity. An organosilyl group bound to nitrogen appears to insert into the N-0 bond (see eq 1 in text).
