Abstract

Abstract Reactions of α-trimethylsilylmethyl-substituted divinyl ketones with FeCl 3 gave α- methylene-cyclopentanones. Thienyl and N-methylpyrrolyl (α-trimethylsilymethyl) vinyl ketones also underwent cyclization to afford the corresponding α- methylenecyclopentanones.
