Abstract
1. A number of new salts of phenolphthalein have been prepared and studied. They are always additive compounds of phenolphthalein and the base. Usually two or more molecules of crystal water are also present. 2. It has been demonstrated that most hydrated salts are colorless and become colored by loss of water.
