Abstract

The industrial scale synthesis of N-alkoxyamines makes use of an oxidative treatment of alkanes [4] to create alkyl radicals which are subsequently intercepted by nitroxide radicals, whereas in many other, more academically relevant, procedures the wanted radicals are generated by the use of tin or silyl hydrides, [5] activated esters, [6] or other methods.
