Abstract

Oxidation of Ne-methyladenosine (la) or the corresponding tribenzoate lb with m- chloroperoxybenzoic acid gave AT'-oxides 2a and 2b whereas Ne@-dimethyladenosine tribenzoate (3a) afforded 2', 3', 5'-tri-O-benzoylinosine (4a) and p-methyl-p-formyl derivative 5.
