Results Synthesis of N-Substituted Erythromycin Derivatives. Five derivatives, compounds 5, 7, 9, 10, and 16 (Schemes I and 11), have been prepared by linking two different photoreactive groups, namely a p-nitrophenyl ether and an aromatic azide, to erythromycylamine.
