Abstract
1-Vinylheptamethyltrisilane, 2-vinylheptamethyltrisilane and vinylpentamethyldisilane have been prepared from the corresponding chlorosilanes and vinylmagnesium chloride. In these compounds, intense absorption maxima were observed in the ultraviolet region, and both the λ max and ε increased with an increase in the chain length.
