Abstract
Vanadium pentoxide is used as an efficient catalyst for regioselective nitration of aromatic compounds under conventional and nonconventional conditions such as ultrasonically assisted (USAR) and microwave-assisted reactions (MWAR). The reactions underwent smoothly and afforded good yields of products with high regioselectivity.
