Abstract
In this issue ofCancer Cell, Singh and colleagues report a role for MUC1-induced HIF expression in rewiring ribose synthesis, which drives pyridimine production as a possible resistance mechanism to gemcitabine, adding to complexity and multiple paths to resistance.
