Abstract

The investigation of compounds of the type mentioned in the title was prompted by a number of considerations. Information concerning the modifying influence of functional groups substituted in various positions on the biological potency of carcinogenically active hydrocarbons is interesting in itself, and derivatives having the groups OH, NHL;, C1, Br, CN, CHO, COCK3, C02H, SO3H, NO2 have already been included in the general studies.
