Abstract
June, 1946 VAPOR PHASE DEHYDRATION OF ARYLMETHYLCARBINOLS 1105 bined solution was distilled under reduced pressure. The major part of the charge distilled at 130- 150" at 3 mm. and crystallized on cooling. Recrystallitation from alcohol gave colorless product, mp 76-77, which was identified as tetraethyl ethanetetracarboxylate.
