Abstract

Abstract Areneselenolate-mediated perfluoroalkyl-sulfenylation of enol ethers has been performed by the reaction of sodium arenethiolates, a catalytic amount of sodium areneselenolates, perfluoroalkyl iodides, and olefins where ArSeNa initiates a chain reaction via an electron transfer mechanism.
