Abstract

Anal. Calcd. for C12HI~ N04: C, 61.80; H, 4.75; N, 6.01. Found: C, 61.99; H, 4.73; N, 6.00. 8- Phthalimidoisobutyryl chloride was prepared from the acid and thionyl chloride. It was purified by distillation under reduced pressure; bp 190" at 5 mm. Anal. Calcd. for C12HloC1N03: N, 5.57. Found: N, 5.32.
