Abstract
Ru(DMSO) 4 Cl 2 is catalytically active for converting aldehydes to primary amides via oxime intermediates. This catalyst is readily available, and requires no additional ligands, a great simplification compared to previous work. A Ru(II)/(IV) mechanism is proposed. ...
