Abstract
Summary: A new synthesis of furans involving intramu- lecular lY4-addition of (Z)-6-hydroxy 4-en-2-ynoates and ynonea has been developed and applied to a total synthesis of rosefuran. ... Of all the natural fragrance extrade in use today, perhaps none is more prized than oil of rose.
