Abstract

Abstract A kinetic scheme of the reaction between 6-tert-butyl-2-methylphenol and methyl acrylate in the presence of an alkali metal phenoxide has been proposed. The rate constants of the elementary steps describing the catalytic mechanism have been calculated.
