Abstract

(2W-ones (9a and 9b). They were obtained from 3-acetamido-2-methylcinriamic acids (6a and 6b) via the corresponding azides (7a and 7b) which rearranged in boiling diphenyl ether to acetamido derivatives (8a and 8b) and gave free bases (9a and 9b) by acidic hydrolysis.
