Abstract: Cyclopropylallyl cations rearrange at measurable rates to give a variety of cyclohexenyl and cyclopentenyl cations. The reaction was studied in three different acid solvents, HfS04, FS03H, and FS03H-SbF5, the “acidity” increasing greatly in the order given.
